We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Director to join our team in the vibrant city of London. As the Finance Director in the Property Sector, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of our organization. Your strategic financial guidance and leadership will contribute to the overall success and growth of our property business. The client operates across a number of market niches including student accomodation.
Good communication skills are a must and professional in dealing with internal and external stakeholders as required
Providing the financial reporting, monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts and insight necessary to support the continued growth of the business Prepare annual accounts for each business entity
Liaise with third party advisors and the banks support and mentor the finance team.
- Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement the financial strategy aligned with the overall business goals and objectives of the property sector. Provide strategic financial advice to the senior management team and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support business planning and decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for the property sector. Collaborate with department heads and senior management to establish financial targets and ensure effective cost control measures are in place.
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop risk mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and optimize financial performance.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital management for the property sector. Develop strategies to optimize cash flow and manage financial resources efficiently.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, auditors, and regulatory authorities. Present financial performance, forecasts, and investment opportunities to stakeholders and provide accurate and timely financial information.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing finance team. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to the finance team members. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.

Prior Property sector experience preferred
ACA/CIMA required.
- chelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or a relevant professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar leadership role within the property sector.
- Strong financial management and strategic planning skills.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices in the property sector.
- Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
