Position Overview:
As a Part-Time Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of our company. You will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support our growth objectives. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional looking for flexible working hours. The role is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing insights to support decision-making.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the financial stability of the company, identifying potential funding requirements.
- Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards, coordinating with external auditors during audits.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Provide strategic financial advice to the senior management team, contributing to long-term business planning and risk management.
- Cost Control: Implement effective cost control measures, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Tax and Regulatory Compliance: Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to relevant authorities.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, providing financial insights and support to achieve company objectives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is highly desirable.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably within the property or real estate sector.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
- Time Management: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a part-time role.
