We are a leading back-office services provider to the insurance sector, supporting brokers, MGAs, and underwriters across the UK. With a turnover of £70 million and a strong growth trajectory, we are now seeking a commercially focused Part-Time Finance Director to join our senior leadership team.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Finance Director will be responsible for leading the finance function, ensuring sound financial governance, and providing strategic financial insight to support the business through its next phase of growth. This role is ideal for a hands-on, commercially astute finance leader with proven experience in the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the financial strategy, planning, forecasting, and reporting functions

Provide senior financial insight and strategic guidance to the Board and Executive Team

Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory financial reporting obligations, including FCA requirements

Manage budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and performance analysis

Drive profitability and operational efficiency across the organisation

Oversee relationships with auditors, banks, and other external stakeholders

Strengthen internal controls, processes, and reporting systems as the business scales

Support M&A activity and due diligence processes where applicable
Requirements

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

Significant experience as a senior finance leader within the insurance sector (essential)

Deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and accounting practices in insurance

Proven ability to operate effectively in a scaling, dynamic business environment

Strong commercial acumen, with experience influencing strategic decisions at Board level

Comfortable working in a part-time, flexible structure
