About the Company
Our client is a dynamic and growing business within the creative industries, based in central London. Known for delivering innovative and high-quality projects, the business works with a diverse client base across the arts, media, and design sectors. They are now seeking an experienced and strategic Part-Time Finance Director to join their leadership team and drive financial performance, growth, and resilience.
Role Overview
The Finance Director will play a key role in shaping the financial strategy of the business, ensuring strong financial management, and providing commercial insight to support decision-making. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with creative entrepreneurs and managing the financial operations of a growing SME.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement financial strategy aligned with business goals.

Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, and financial reporting.

Provide clear analysis and commercial insight to support strategic decision-making.

Manage and review monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, and tax compliance.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, governance, and best practices.

Lead financial planning for new projects, investments, and business opportunities.

Work closely with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities and improve profitability.

Oversee relationships with external accountants, auditors, banks, and funding bodies.

Build and mentor the finance team (if applicable), ensuring robust systems and processes are in place.
Skills & Experience

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

Significant experience as Finance Director, Head of Finance, or similar role, ideally in the creative industries or related SME environment.

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance creativity with financial discipline.

Demonstrated experience in cashflow management and business planning.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage non-finance stakeholders.

Strategic thinker who is also hands-on and comfortable in a small, fast-paced team.

Proficiency in accounting systems and reporting tools.
