About Us
We are a fast-growing food business with a strong presence in the UK and an expanding global footprint. With current revenues of £20m and ambitious plans for continued international growth, we are seeking a commercially astute and strategic Fractional Global CFO to join our leadership team.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the financial direction of a dynamic, entrepreneurial business while working part-time (3 days per week) on a flexible hybrid basis.
Role Overview
As Fractional Global CFO, you will provide high-level financial leadership and oversight, ensuring the company has the structure, controls, and insights to support scaling operations in the UK and internationally. You will partner with the CEO and Board to deliver financial strategy, risk management, and funding initiatives, while strengthening financial governance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to define and execute growth strategy.

Provide financial modelling, forecasting, and scenario planning to guide decision-making.

Support global expansion initiatives, including entry into new markets and distribution channels.

Financial Management & Governance

Oversee preparation of accurate and timely management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.

Enhance financial systems, controls, and processes to support scale.

Ensure compliance with UK and international accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.

Funding & Investor Relations

Manage relationships with banks, investors, and external advisors.

Support capital raising activities (equity/debt) to fuel growth.

Deliver clear financial insights to the Board and stakeholders.

Operational & Commercial Finance

Provide commercial insight into product profitability, pricing, and supply chain.

Partner with sales, marketing, and operations teams to optimise margins and cash flow.

Lead initiatives to improve working capital management.

Mentor and develop the finance function, building a high-performing team.

Foster a culture of financial accountability across the business.

Candidate Profile
-
Proven track record as a CFO or senior finance leader in a scaling business (£10m–£100m turnover), ideally within the food, FMCG, or consumer goods sectors.

Strong international experience, including multi-currency operations and overseas subsidiaries.

Expertise in financial strategy, funding, and investor relations.

Hands-on approach, comfortable operating both strategically and tactically.

Experience in a private equity or growth equity-backed business desirable.

ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
