As we continue to expand and professionalise our operations, we are seeking a highly experienced Fractional Finance Director to strengthen our financial function and provide strategic financial leadership.

Role Overview

The Fractional Finance Director will work closely with the Managing Director and senior management team to provide high-level financial oversight, strengthen financial controls, and support sustainable growth. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic insight and practical implementation, ensuring the group’s financial systems and reporting are robust and aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy & Leadership

    • Advise the Board and senior team on financial strategy, cashflow management, and long-term planning.

    • Provide financial input into key business decisions, investment opportunities, and expansion plans.

  • Financial Controls & Processes

    • Review and strengthen financial systems, policies, and controls.

    • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.

    • Oversee cashflow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

  • Management Reporting

    • Deliver clear, timely monthly management accounts with commentary.

    • Develop KPIs and dashboards to improve visibility of financial and operational performance.

    • Support the optimisation of revenue and cost management across properties.

  • Team Development & Oversight

    • Provide mentoring and oversight to the finance team/bookkeepers.

    • Ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and supplier management.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a proven track record in the hospitality, leisure, or service sector.

  • Experience working in SMEs or multi-site businesses, ideally with exposure to the hotel industry.

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to improve financial systems and processes.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Commercially minded, with a hands-on approach and willingness to get into the detail when required.
