The Company
We are a well-established online travel booking platform with over 15 years of successful trading and a strong reputation in the market. With a team of 50 employees, we operate in a dynamic, multi-currency environment serving customers internationally.
As we enter our next phase of growth and strategic development, we are seeking an experienced Fractional CFO to provide high-level financial leadership and strategic guidance.
This is a long-term opportunity for the right individual who wants to work closely with an ambitious leadership team while maintaining portfolio flexibility.
The Role
The Fractional CFO will work 2–3 days per week in a hybrid capacity. While primarily remote, there will be an expectation to attend the Central London office periodically for board meetings, strategic sessions, and key planning cycles.
You will partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to strengthen financial strategy, optimise performance, and support sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance

Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board

Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes

Develop long-term financial strategy aligned with growth objectives

Provide robust KPI reporting and commercial insight
Forex & Multi-Currency Management

Oversee foreign exchange exposure and risk management strategies

Implement and optimise FX hedging policies

Manage multi-currency cash flow and international payment flows

Improve margin protection across currency movements
Travel Sector Financial Oversight

Drive financial optimisation in a high-volume, low-margin booking environment

Manage supplier settlements, commissions, and reconciliation cycles

Enhance reporting across booking performance, customer acquisition, and channel profitability
Financial Controls & Governance

Strengthen financial controls and processes

Oversee cash flow management and working capital optimisation

Support audit processes and regulatory compliance

Improve systems, reporting tools, and automation
Growth & Funding (if applicable)

Prepare the business for potential fundraising, acquisition, or strategic investment

Support due diligence processes

Build scalable financial infrastructure for expansion
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking a commercially sharp, hands-on finance leader with:

Proven experience as a CFO or Finance Director (ideally in a fractional capacity)

Strong experience within the travel sector, online booking platforms, or high-volume e-commerce

Deep understanding of foreign exchange (FX) exposure and multi-currency operations

Experience in scaling established SMEs

Strong analytical and systems mindset

Comfortable working both strategically and operationally

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at board level
