Our client is a growing business in the wellness sector, committed to improving health, wellbeing, and quality of life through high-quality products and services. As the business continues to scale, they are seeking an experienced Fractional Finance Manager / Financial Controller to provide strong financial oversight, structure, and strategic insight on a part-time basis.
This role is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with founders and senior leadership in a values-driven, fast-moving environment.
The Role
The Fractional Finance Manager / Financial Controller will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while also providing strategic financial guidance to support growth and decision-making. You will ensure robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and compliance, while helping the business plan for the future. Reporting to the Finance Director. This role is expected to be 3 days per week.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
- Monitor and manage cash flow, forecasting, and working capital
- Deliver timely and accurate financial insights to support business decisions
- Oversee budgeting and reforecasting processes
Financial Control & Compliance
- Maintain strong financial controls and processes
- Ensure compliance with Irish accounting standards and tax requirements
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors
- Oversee VAT returns, payroll coordination, and statutory filings
Strategic & Commercial Support
- Act as a trusted financial partner to the leadership team
- Provide cost analysis, pricing support, and margin analysis
- Support business planning, growth initiatives, and investment decisions
- Identify efficiencies and opportunities to improve financial performance
Systems & Process Improvement
- Review and improve existing financial systems and processes
- Support the implementation or optimisation of accounting software and reporting tools
Experience & Skills Required
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or similar senior finance role
- Experience working with SMEs or scaling businesses (wellness, consumer, or services sectors an advantage)
- Strong knowledge of Irish accounting, tax, and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on, pragmatic approach with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fractional or part-time capacity
