Fractional Finance Manager / Financial Controller

Our client is a growing business in the wellness sector, committed to improving health, wellbeing, and quality of life through high-quality products and services. As the business continues to scale, they are seeking an experienced Fractional Finance Manager / Financial Controller to provide strong financial oversight, structure, and strategic insight on a part-time basis.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with founders and senior leadership in a values-driven, fast-moving environment.

The Role

The Fractional Finance Manager / Financial Controller will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while also providing strategic financial guidance to support growth and decision-making. You will ensure robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and compliance, while helping the business plan for the future. Reporting to the Finance Director. This role is expected to be 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, forecasting, and working capital
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial insights to support business decisions
  • Oversee budgeting and reforecasting processes

Financial Control & Compliance

  • Maintain strong financial controls and processes
  • Ensure compliance with Irish accounting standards and tax requirements
  • Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors
  • Oversee VAT returns, payroll coordination, and statutory filings

Strategic & Commercial Support

  • Act as a trusted financial partner to the leadership team
  • Provide cost analysis, pricing support, and margin analysis
  • Support business planning, growth initiatives, and investment decisions
  • Identify efficiencies and opportunities to improve financial performance

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Review and improve existing financial systems and processes
  • Support the implementation or optimisation of accounting software and reporting tools
Qualifications

Experience & Skills Required

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or similar senior finance role
  • Experience working with SMEs or scaling businesses (wellness, consumer, or services sectors an advantage)
  • Strong knowledge of Irish accounting, tax, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on, pragmatic approach with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fractional or part-time capacity
