As we continue to expand, we are seeking a commercially-minded Fractional Finance Director (FD) with proven experience in the creative industries to provide strategic financial guidance and leadership.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Finance Director who can work with us on a part-time, fractional basis (2 days per month) to support our senior management team in managing growth, improving profitability, and strengthening financial systems and reporting.
You’ll act as our strategic financial partner, helping the business make informed decisions, plan for the future, and optimise performance.
Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic financial leadership and commercial insight to the management team.

Oversee management accounts, cash flow forecasting, and budgeting.

Support the development and implementation of financial processes and controls suitable for a growing creative business.

Advise on pricing models, profitability by project/client, and resource allocation.

Prepare and present monthly or quarterly financial reports and performance reviews.

Guide business planning, forecasting, and scenario modelling.

Liaise with external accountants, bookkeepers, and key stakeholders.

Support funding or investment discussions if required.

Mentor internal finance staff (if applicable) and help upskill the internal team.
About You

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Proven experience as an FD or senior finance leader within the creative, marketing, design, media, or digital sectors.

Strong understanding of project-based revenue models, margins, and agency workflows.

Commercially astute, strategic thinker with hands-on capability.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate numbers into actionable insight.

Comfortable working flexibly and autonomously with SMEs.
Time Commitment & Engagement

Approx. 2 days per month (on-site in Hertfordshire and remote as required).
