About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Fractional Finance Director to support our growing startup on a fully remote basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats to help drive strategic growth.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Invoicing & Collections: Manage client invoicing, ensure timely collections, and maintain healthy cash flow.
Financial Records: Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the development of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Advisory: Advise leadership on accounting and tax implications of commercial contracts and new business initiatives.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and systems.
Operational Support: Assist with other finance and operational tasks as needed to support the company’s strategic objectives.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience as a Finance Director, Head of Finance, or Senior Finance Manager—ideally within a startup or scale-up environment.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and commercial contracts.
Hands-on experience with invoicing, collections, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Comfortable working independently and proactively in a remote, dynamic environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are highly desirable.
