Role Overview

The Finance Director will lead the financial strategy and operations for the group, ensuring robust financial planning, reporting, and compliance while supporting the executive team with insightful analysis and commercial guidance. You’ll play a key role in shaping the financial health and sustainable growth of our hotels, working closely with our property managers and head office team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the group’s financial strategy, budgets, forecasts, and business plans.

• Lead all financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, and board reports.

• Oversee cash flow management, cost control, and capital expenditure.

• Provide strategic analysis and commercial insight to support decision-making and identify opportunities for revenue growth and operational efficiencies.

• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and investors.

• Ensure compliance with all financial, tax, and legal requirements.

• Lead, develop, and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

• Support the evaluation and integration of new hotel acquisitions or refurbishments.

• Implement and maintain strong internal controls and financial systems.

About You

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

• Proven experience in a senior finance role within the hospitality sector (hotel experience highly desirable).

• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insight.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills; able to work collaboratively with non-finance stakeholders.

• Hands-on approach, comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.

• Experience with multi-site operations is an advantage.
