Fractional CFO – 1 Day per Week (Flexible) – City of London
Description
FD Capital is working with a growing, purpose-led technology services business based in the City of London to appoint an experienced Fractional CFO. The role starts at one day per week in the office, and the days can be flexible to suit the business and the successful candidate.
This is a strategic, hands-on role. You will join the leadership team as a trusted adviser on strategy, funding and financial direction, and you will develop a small in-house finance team.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
- Act as strategic finance partner to the leadership team on growth plans, business planning and major decisions.
- Lead funding management, including cash flow forecasting, runway planning, investor relations and any fundraising or debt facilities.
- Oversee financial performance in a people-based services model, with a focus on margin, utilisation and cost control.
- Support M&A activity and corporate transactions, from evaluating opportunities through to execution.
- Coach and develop the finance team, and raise the quality of reporting and financial controls.
- Present financial information clearly to the board and investors.
Qualifications
About you
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with previous CFO or Finance Director experience.
- Proven M&A or transaction experience, either leading or closely involved in deals.
- Experience with growth-stage, investor-backed or services businesses. Consultancy, tech services or professional services experience would be a strong advantage.
- Commercially astute and comfortable in a fast-moving environment with a clear sense of purpose.
- A natural coach who enjoys developing people.
- Able to attend the City of London office one day per week, with flexibility on which days.
