Interim FPandA Specialist – Transaction Monitoring

Fully Remote | Immediate Start | 6 Weeks Initially (likely 12)
FD Capital is supporting an established UK specialist bank that needs an experienced FP&A professional with strong Power BI skills to start immediately on a focused interim assignment around its transaction monitoring.
The Role
The bank needs a hands-on specialist who can get into the transactional data quickly, bring structure and insight to it, and give the finance and control teams clear, reliable reporting. The initial term is six weeks, and it is expected to extend to around twelve. The role is fully remote.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and analysing transactional data to find trends, anomalies and exceptions
- Building or improving transaction monitoring reports and Power BI dashboards to give senior stakeholders clear, reliable MI
- Reconciling and validating data across source systems to make sure the reporting is accurate
- Developing variance analysis and commentary that explains movements and emerging risks
- Working with finance, risk and operations colleagues to tighten processes and controls
- Documenting methodology and handing over a sustainable process at the end of the assignment
Qualifications
About You
- A qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or an equivalent analytics professional with a strong FP&A background
- Recent experience in banking, lending or wider financial services
- Strong, hands-on Power BI skills (data modelling, DAX and dashboard design) are essential
- Highly proficient in Excel, with experience of large transactional datasets; SQL is an advantage
- Able to hit the ground running with minimal onboarding and deliver in a short timeframe
- A clear communicator who can turn detailed analysis into concise findings for non-finance stakeholders
- Available to start immediately
