About the Opportunity
We are working with a UK-headquartered technology group that has recently completed multiple acquisitions and is now entering a critical post-acquisition integration and value creation phase.
Our client is seeking a Fractional Group CFO to support the Board and leadership team, with responsibility for group-wide financial oversight, consolidation, and strategic planning.
The Role
This is a Board-facing fractional position, requiring a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on delivery across a multi-entity, international structure.
You will play a key role in embedding financial discipline, supporting acquisition integration, and ensuring high-quality reporting across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multi-entity group consolidation (6 entities, GBP/USD, intercompany eliminations)
- Deliver board-level reporting including monthly accounts, quarterly packs, and strategic plans
- Support post-acquisition integration across recently acquired businesses
- Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital, and treasury management
- Manage UK statutory reporting and Companies House compliance
- Support pre-acquisition due diligence and financial evaluation
- Oversee earn-out structures and post-deal obligations
- Provide leadership to the finance function (Controller + accounting team)
Candidate Profile
We are keen to speak with individuals who have:
- Proven experience as a Group CFO / Finance Director in a multi-entity environment
- Strong track record in consolidation across international entities (GBP/USD)
- Direct experience managing earn-outs and acquisition integration
- Experience operating in investor-backed / PE-style environments
- Strong understanding of UK statutory reporting (FRS 102)
Highly desirable:
- Background in technology, software, or data-led businesses
- Experience within buy-and-build / acquisition-driven growth strategies
- Exposure to US subsidiaries (payroll, compliance, GAAP awareness)
Engagement Details
- Start: Early May (urgent requirement)
- Initial term: 3 months (rolling thereafter)
- Commitment: ~1 day per week (flexible during peak periods)
- Remote with occasional in-person board sessions
