Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company's objectives and support the property sector.
  2. Oversee all financial management activities, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  3. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, for internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Monitor key financial metrics, analyze variances, and provide insights to improve performance and drive profitability.
  5. Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and financial institutions to secure funding and optimize capital structure.
  6. Conduct financial analysis, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for property development projects and investment opportunities.
  7. Collaborate with the executive team to develop business plans, financial models, and strategies to support growth initiatives.
  8. Ensure compliance with statutory accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial obligations within the property sector.
  9. Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial guidance to department heads and project teams.
  10. Assess and mitigate financial risks related to property investments, such as market fluctuations, valuation, and funding requirements.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting the property sector, providing strategic advice to the executive team.
  12. Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
  • Significant experience (8+ years) in finance and accounting roles, with a focus on the property sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices within the property industry, including property development, investment, and management.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting within the property sector.
  • Excellent understanding of property market dynamics, valuation methods, and risk assessment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with banks, lenders, and financial institutions.
  • Experience in managing complex financial operations, including multiple projects, portfolios, and investment vehicles.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance specific to the property sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor finance professionals.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in financial software applications and advanced MS Excel skill
