As they continue to expand our reach and influence, they are seeking a seasoned and strategic Finance Director to join their leadership team and drive the financial success of their organisation.
Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.
- Conduct regular financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Present financial reports to the executive team and board of directors.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and assess financial risks, proposing and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and financial health.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Relationship Management:
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders, providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including auditors, regulatory authorities, and financial institutions.
- Mergers and Acquisitions:
- Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and other financial opportunities.
- Conduct due diligence and financial analysis for potential partnerships.
- Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and governance structures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar role within the media/publishing industry.
- Strong understanding of media industry dynamics and financial challenges.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive financial initiatives.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
