FD Capital is supporting a fast-growing technology-enabled information and data business in the appointment of a commercially minded Fractional CFO to support the next phase of growth.
The Opportunity
Our client is an established and internationally focused business operating within the information, data and technology sector. The company is scaling a recurring revenue platform alongside its established service operations and is seeking an experienced strategic finance leader to work closely with management during an exciting growth phase.
This is a high-impact role suited to a commercially focused CFO or Finance Director who can operate as a strategic partner to the leadership team while maintaining a pragmatic and hands-on approach.
Importantly, the business is not seeking a traditional finance controller profile. The requirement is for a commercially aware finance professional capable of supporting strategic growth, investment readiness and scaling initiatives.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leadership on strategic financial planning
- Support fundraising, investment readiness and potential M&A activity
- Develop and refine investor presentations and financial models
- Provide commercial insight across recurring revenue and subscription-based business models
- Assist with scaling processes, forecasting and KPI reporting
- Support board reporting and investor communications
- Review pricing strategy, growth metrics and commercial performance
- Improve financial visibility and decision-making processes
- Help prepare the business for its next phase of growth and potential investment activity
Qualifications
Candidate Profile

- SaaS, data, software or technology-enabled SMEs
- Subscription and recurring revenue business models
- Fundraising and investment readiness processes
- Financial modelling and investor deck preparation
- Growth-stage and scaling businesses
- Strategic finance leadership within entrepreneurial environments
- Commercially focused CFO or Finance Director positions
The ideal candidate will combine strategic capability with a practical, hands-on mindset and be comfortable operating within a fast-moving and evolving business environment.
