The Company
A fast-growing, PE-backed e-commerce group, backed by an international private equity investor, is seeking an experienced Fractional CFO to join at pace. The business operates remotely with its registered office in London and is currently navigating a period of financial and leadership transition following recent departures — making this a hands-on, high-impact role from day one.
The Role
We're looking for a commercially sharp Fractional CFO to step in immediately and provide senior financial leadership through a critical period. You'll work closely with the leadership team and PE investor to stabilise financial operations, rebuild reporting rigour, and set the finance function up for sustainable growth.

The Role
We're looking for a commercially sharp Fractional CFO to step in immediately and provide senior financial leadership through a critical period. You'll work closely with the leadership team and PE investor to stabilise financial operations, rebuild reporting rigour, and set the finance function up for sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities:
● Provide immediate senior financial leadership during a period of transition, working closely with the board and PE investor
● Take ownership of cash flow management and short-term liquidity planning
● Rebuild and strengthen financial reporting, forecasting and controls
● Act as the primary finance interface with the PE investor, including board packs and investor updates
● Oversee and support the wider finance team (finance manager/controller) on day-to-day operations
● Advise on cost optimisation and cash preservation measures
● Support strategic decision-making around funding, runway and future planning

Qualifications

About You
● Proven track record as a CFO, ideally with direct experience operating within PE-backed businesses
● Experience with SaaS-based finance systems and, ideally, SaaS or e-commerce business models
● Comfortable stepping into ambiguous or pressured situations and bringing immediate clarity and control
● Strong track record of investor and board-level reporting and relationship management
● Experience managing cash flow through periods of financial pressure
● Available to start immediately on a fractional/day-rate basis
● Confident operating remotely with autonomy
