FD Capital is partnering with a profitable, founder-led healthcare infrastructure business to appoint its first senior internal finance hire — a Financial Controller.

Our client is not VC- or PE-backed. They're profitable, cash-flow-positive, bootstrapped and family-owned, scaling a real operational business with meaningful revenue and complex fulfilment, supplier, stock, cashflow and margin dynamics. This is a genuine build role: you'll establish and run the internal finance function from the ground up, with the support of an incoming fractional CFO who is shaping the strategic finance roadmap above you.

It's an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on controller who wants ownership, visibility and a clear path to grow into a Head of Finance / FD role as the business scales.

What you'll own

• Building and running the day-to-day internal finance function
• Month-end close management and bookkeeping review
• Accounts payable, payment controls and payment-run processes
• Supplier reconciliations, statements, credit notes, rebates, renewals and trackers
• Bank and card controls
• Cash visibility reporting
• Inventory / COGS finance reporting
• The finance inbox and supplier queries
• Operational management information, finance SOPs and team build-out over time
