To support our continued success, we are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Finance Manager to join our team.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the finance function across the group. You will oversee a team of 5 finance professionals, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and insightful analysis to drive decision-making in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 5 finance staff to deliver a high-performing finance function.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations across the group, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and management accounts.
- Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Support the Finance Director with strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Implement and maintain strong financial controls, policies, and processes across the group.
- Provide financial insight and analysis to support commercial decision-making and growth initiatives.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and smooth financial operations.
- Drive process improvements and system efficiencies as the business continues its rapid growth.
About You
- Ideally Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with post-qualification experience in a similar role. QBE considered on merits.
- Proven experience managing a finance team within a dynamic, multi-entity business (experience in distribution, automotive, or related sectors advantageous).
- Strong technical accounting skills with a hands-on approach and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Commercially minded, proactive, and adaptable, with the drive to support a fast-growing group of companies.
- Comfortable working full-time, on-site in West Bromwich.
