Location: Hybrid – London (remote/office) with on-site attendance in Warwickshire (3 days per week)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fractional CFO to provide strategic financial leadership and hands-on support to our growing business. This is a hybrid role requiring a mix of remote work, occasional London meetings, and regular on-site attendance in Warwickshire (3 days per week). The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to the Board and senior leadership team, driving financial strategy, ensuring robust financial controls, and supporting the company’s long-term growth ambitions.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Develop and oversee the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, providing insight and challenge where necessary.
Deliver clear, actionable financial reporting to the Board and senior stakeholders.
Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and funding requirements.
Support decision-making with commercial and financial analysis.
Implement and maintain strong financial controls, processes, and compliance frameworks.
Advise on capital structure, investment decisions, and risk management.
Act as a mentor and partner to the finance team, ensuring operational excellence and professional development.
Engage with external stakeholders including auditors, investors, and financial institutions

Qualifications

Requirements

Proven track record as a CFO, Finance Director, or senior financial leader, ideally with experience in SMEs, scale-ups, or private equity–backed businesses.
Strong technical finance expertise with the ability to balance strategic insight and operational detail.
Excellent commercial acumen and ability to influence decision-making at Board level.
Experience in growth environments, funding rounds, and scaling operations desirable.
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across the business.
Comfortable with a hybrid working model, including on-site attendance in Warwickshire three days per week.
